During 5 Senses Month, we explore a new sense each week. This week was Smell Week and it was so much fun! The kids had a great time with all of our smelly projects.
In Ms. Stephanie's group, the kids made scented Play-Doh. This project covered all the bases when it came to what the kids love--it was sticky, messy, and smelly all wrapped into one!
Mr. Bobby had the kids getting creative with a painting project. However, this was no ordinary paint. It was made with Kool-Aid! We were able to make a lot of sweet, fruity smelling art!
In Ms. Nicky's group, the kids really had to put their noses to work! We divided into two groups and each group had 10 covered bowls. The objective of the activity was for the kids to smell each bowl and try to agree what the individual smells were. Some of the groups' answers were very specific!
"This one smells like... a campfire!"
"This one is definitely Christmas cookies!"
We had so much fun!
