So far, March has been living up to its reputation of coming in like a lion and out like a lamb. We even made a few lions out of paper plates to help us get in the swing of things. But, let's not forget that this month's theme is none other than "Things With Wings"!

From the first through the fifth, we kicked things off with flying machine week. The students were so excited to design and create different kinds of paper airplanes throughout the week. On Friday we had a grand finale Paper Airplane Flying Contest in the gym. Together we used a tape measure to discover just how far our airplanes could travel.

From March 8-12 we got creepy and crawly during Insect Week. This was a great week for lots of projects, too! As a class, we voted the ladybug as our Class Insect and created a large ladybug diagram on the bulletin board. We even made our own lady bugs out of paper plates which you can check out in the hallway in front of our classroom. Some of our students even went beyond our class projects and made Ladybug Workbooks on their own. They we fantastic!
